Saturday January 19th classes Croston

We have today been contacted by Trinity and St. Michael’s Primary School (Croston classes venue) to inform us that if the predicted ‘significant’ snowfall materialises, we will be unable to use the hall due to Health and Safety rulings re outside pathways. Obviously, we do not want to have to cancel classes on the ‘off chance’ that this will happen but can we ask people to check the website on Saturday morning please to find out exactly what is happening. As none of the teachers live locally to Croston, I have arranged to ring the school caretaker at 7.45am on Saturday to establish what the conditions are like in the village and I will then post the outcome on the website. There are obviously concerns for exam candidates who have their exams coming up soon and really cannot afford to be missing lessons! The classes at St. Michael’s in Chorley and at the Ambulance Hall should hopefully be going ahead as normal ( I have had no notification re Health and Safety for either of those venues) so if we have to cancel Croston  — exam candidates could join in the Chorley classes if they wish to do so. Please check Chorley Timetable for the time that is relevant for your child’s grade. I sincerely hope that the snow misses us this time and that our classes can continue as normal.

Thank you

Anita Murray
