It has been brought to my attention that some parents at Croston are concerned about the organisation of priority ticket sales for the main Chorley show.
Please remember that there are over 200 children taking part in the show — by far the biggest majority of them from the Chorley school — realistically we have to sell where the majority are.
Unfortunately, having tried various methods over the years, the current system is the one that works the best. It isn’t possible for some tickets to be sold at Croston as all seats are numbered according to the seating plan and this would obviously result in ‘double bookings’ (and mayhem)! To allocate a certain part of the auditorium to Croston and Chorley pupils separately does not work either because there are always some people who have a ‘set side or area’ that they prefer, and with the best will in the world it is impossible to please everybody all the time (Although we do our best)!!
There is a 6 hour selling time on June 7th and a four hour selling time on June 14th, but for those of you who are saying that you will find it difficult to get children to lessons in Croston and be at Chorley to buy tickets can I suggest the following solutions.
Try to organise a friend or relative to collect your child from lessons whilst you come over to buy tickets. Or
Organise 1 or 2 mums from each class to come over with a list of ticket requests from everybody. There is a team of volunteers from Chorley who will be ‘on duty’ selling — each having responsibility for one specific performance in order to be sure things run as smoothly and as quickly as possible.
I hope that this clarifies the situation for everyone — please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any further concerns.
